Once again Judy will share her expertise in quilting in
this 3 day hands on class. Continental breakfast, Lunch
and snacks will be included. Join us for Games, Fun,
Food and Lots of Sewing. Cruise fee is $250 plus
supplies.

Hoopsisters Embroidablock 2009
CRAZY COMPASS
Join Terri Miller in
making this Crazy Compass Wall hanging in a 10-month
block of the month class. Your quilt blocks are
embroidered, decorative stitched and quilted in the
hoop. Each month receive a new block and see a
demo. Class Fee is $100
Month Three Block - Wednesday, June 10th or Saturday,
June 13th 1pm - 2:30pm
Month Four Block - Wednesday, July 8th or Saturday, July
11th 1pm - 2:30pm

Designer's Gallery Software
Presented
by Brian Baille
Brian Baille, the creator of
Designers Gallery Software, will present seminars at
Ellicott City Sew Vac on Friday, September 18th and
Saturday, September 19th.
Learn all about the techniques you
can do with this awesome line of software that includes
Studio III, Size Works, Hoop Works, Custom Works, Quilt
Works and Master Works II plus all of the wonderful
Interactives.

New Classes and Clubs
Serger Projects Club - Mary Beth Loup
These monthly classes are great for
those who are new to serging as well as those looking
for fun projects that go beyond seam finishing. We'll be
making projects from the new book, "Ready, Set, Serge"
by Georgie Melot. In the first class learn to attach a
zipper with a cording foot, create a tassel and end up
with a classy cosmetic clutch. Club fee is $10 per month

Introduction to Heirloom Sewing I - Debbie Melton,
Certified Martha Pullen Instructor
If you love to sew delicate beautiful
things, then this class is for you. Learn the basics of
heirloom sewing techniques such as pintucks, joining
lace to lace, lace shaping and other lovely techniques.
This is a hands-on class with no finished project.
Debbie will introduce each technique that you will
practice on fabric provided in a kit. This class is a
prerequisite to other heirloom classes that will be
offered in the fall. Class fee $50.00 plus $10 kit fee
payable to instructor

Introduction to Heirloom Sewing II - Debbie Melton,

Expand on what you have learned in Session I.
Debbie will teach you additional heirloom sewing
techniques that will make your projects sew beautifully.
You will be amazed at how easy these techniques are to
do and what a difference they will make in your work.
The technique will be introduced and you will practice
on fabric provided in a kit. Class fee $50 plus $10 kit
fee payable to instructor

Beginner's 9 Block
Sampler Quilt Block of the Month - Lorraine Carter
This is the class to get you started in
quilting. Learn rotary cutting, fabric selection and
piecing while creating 9 different blocks. The class is
5 sessions on the first Saturday of the month. Join at
any time, this is an ongoing class, Class fee $75 for 5
classes plus supply list

Scrappy Hearts -

Scrappy hearts are created as a crazy-patch fusible
appliqué'. Learn
to do
raw edge machine appliqué
while creating the hearts for this quilt.

This class will get
you started! Make a pillow case, insert a zipper in a
cosmetic bag and learn the basics you need to know for

Beginning Sewing for
Children (age 9-14) - Debbie Melton
Students will learn
the basics of sewing to get them started on their way to
"Project Runway". You must have your own machine in good
working order for this class.

3D Christmas Tree Skirt -
Jan Tunnicliff
This treeskirt combines
three-dimensional piecing techniques and a traditional saw
tooth star block to highlight a special fabric. The finished
tree skirt measures approximately 68" in diameter. Class fee
$60 plus supplies

Patchwork Sampler - Jan Tunnicliff
Learn the basics of three dimensional
piecing - cutting, folding and layering - that make this
patchwork stand out. Using Jackie Robinson's Three
Dimensional Patchwork Sampler as a guide, you'll create six
different three-dimensional blocks, from simple stars and
flying geese to bowties and pinwheels and even tulips. Class
fee $50 plus supplies and book

Software - Ellie Donald
Join us in this monthly class as we explore the
many facets of 4D Embroidery software. We will
review the different modules and begin exploring
4D Embroidery Extra, Design Aligner and Stitch
Editor. We will learn to emboss towels and
fleece using Fabric Decorator, create a cross
stitch design, reproduce a portrait with picture
stitch and create embroideries with Design
Creator. We will meet the 4th Wednesday of
each month Fee $10

cancel 7 or more days before class you will be issued a
store credit. There will be no refunds or credit for
cancellations less than 6 days before class. If we have
