Beginner Garment Sewing: Sonoma Tee for Kids or Adults with Pattie Otto
The class is designed to help beginners with the basics of looking at a pattern, identifying fabrics, laying out and cutting fabric, seaming and hemming a garment.
We will cover basic fabric and pattern knowledge, how to measure and select the correct size, interfacing, seam finish basics, and hemming. Although this is a beginner class, you should know the basics of using your machine (bobbin winding, threading, common stitches). All ages from 12 upward are welcome. There are two Sonoma Tee patterns - one for Teens & Tweens, and the other for adults. Great for a "mother daughter" day of sewing!
